Are the campervans pet friendly?

Stargazers’ campervans are pet-friendly, allowing you to bring your furry companions along for the adventure. Each van is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after every use, ensuring a fresh and hygienic environment for all guests.

Can I bring my dog, it’s quite large?

We allow one small/medium sized dog. Unfortunately there isn’t space for large dogs.

Any damage to seat coverings or linings and any extra cleaning as a result of your dog will be charged against your security deposit.

Can I drive my campervan hire in Europe?

If you plan to take the campervan outside of the UK, an additional charge of £50 per night will apply. This fee covers the extra costs associated with international travel, such as insurance, roadside assistance, and any necessary documentation required for driving abroad. It is important to inform the rental company in advance if you intend to travel internationally, as there may be additional requirements, such as specific breakdown cover, country-specific driving regulations, or vehicle restrictions. Failure to disclose international travel plans may result in penalties or void insurance coverage.

Do the campers come with bedding?

Is there a security deposit?

Yes, our insurance provider requires a £500 security deposit is required, which is fully refundable 14 days from departure subject to there being no damage, parking / speeding fines or extra cleaning. This is standard for the campervan hire industry.

Bookings booked 6 to 12 months in advance will need to pay a non-refundable booking deposit of £250. The full balance to be paid 6 weeks before collection.

Bookings booked LESS than 6 months in advance will need full payment of the hire.

What happens if the campervan breaks down?

We are covered with 24/7 emergency breakdown assistance. If the vehicle cannot be repaired we will refund the remaining days of the hire plus reasonable compensation.

What ID is needed?

A full Drivers Licence and 2 forms of ID.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations for bookings with Stargazers Campervan are subject to charges based on the time remaining until the start of your stay. If you cancel 5 weeks or less before your arrival, 30% of the total booking amount will be charged. For cancellations made 4 weeks or less in advance, the charge increases to 40%, while cancellations made 3 weeks or less before the start date will incur a 60% fee. If you cancel 2 weeks or less before your stay, 85% of the booking will be charged, and for cancellations made 1 week or less in advance, the full booking amount (100%) will be charged. Cancellations made outside of these specified periods will only be charged the deposit.

When can i pick up the van?

Collection from 12pm to 3pm on the first day of your trip, vehicle needs to be dropped back by between 11am and 12pm at the latest on your last day.

Who can hire from Stargazers?

Drivers need to be 25 years to 75 years of age and hold a full Drivers Licence for more than 2 years and no more than 6 penalty points.
